The Makrand Reading Event is a public gathering of readers, thinkers and students who read and respond to the current issue of the journal. Participants join from universities and cultural institutions across India and abroad, and each session is livestreamed. Ankita has moderated the series since the seventh edition.

Understanding Śabda Tradition

Makrand is a quarterly publication of Naad Pargaas devoted to knowledge production through Śabda philosophy, engaging literature, art, philosophy, science and critical theory. Its name carries the sense of nectar — the rasa at the heart of the flower.
